Medication classes used in hematology and oncology are particularly vast and challenging to understand and learn. There are many types of medications used in the treatment of disorders in both disciplines. Chemotherapy constitutes a very important class of medications. However, there are many more drug classes, including immune checkpoint inhibitors, immunomodulators, targeted therapies, etc.
Our “Pharmacology in Hematology and Oncology” notes will describe most of these medications in a succinct manner. Some notes will include mnemonics, flowcharts, images, videos, and other multimedia resources to help with comprehension and memorization. Hopefully, they will help us become more comfortable with their use in clinical practice.
